This huge shopping center is divided by a street and connected by a pedestrian bridge. Kings Shopping Center is very strategically located in the center of Bandung city, Kepatihan no. 11-17 near the ‘alun-alun’. Being the center of the city, alun-alun is passed by a lot of public transportation in Bandung like ‘angkot’ (city transport) and Damri buses. Angkot routes that you can take are Kebun Kelapa – Cicaheum, Kebun Kelapa – Dago, Kebun Kelapa – Ledeng, Buah Batu – Kebun Kelapa and Cicadas – Elang. If you are taking the angkot from Kebun Kelapa, it will take you to the intersection of Jalan Kepatihan. If you take the angkot from other places in Bandung, you will have to get off at alun-alun and take a short walk to Jalan Kepatihan to reach this place. You can also take a taxi or rent a car to reach Kings Shopping Center, but it will be more costly.
On the inside of Kings Shopping Center, tables and racks are spill over with mostly batik and Muslim garments and textiles bathed in fluorescent light. Clothing stores are the most stores that dominate in the first two floors of this building. You can find almost all the clothes here, starting from women’s clothing, lingerie, scarf, nightgowns, women accessories, underwear up to men’s clothing and children’s clothing. Do not forget to bargain here because the price can be negotiable if you are skilled in bargaining, especially in the lower floors. The prices in Matahari Department Store in the upper floor are nett and nonnegotiable. You also would not want to miss the promo and discount here that will ease the burden of your wallet even further. Kings Shopping Center opens every day starting from 10:00 to 21:00. If you want a more comfortable shopping experience in this place, you should come on weekdays because the place is too crowded on the weekend and holidays.
