There are some public transportation you can take to reach this restaurant, including taxi, ‘angkot’ (city transport) and bus. To get here with a taxi would be expensive, so you may want to get an ‘angkot’. There are several ‘angkot’ route which can take you to the front of Jalan Ganesha, such as St. Hall – Dago, Cicaheum – Ledeng, Cicaheum – Ciroyom and Cisitu – Tegalega. You have to get off at the Jalan Ganesha, then take a short walk to reach this restaurant. There are also two ‘Damri’ buses route which can take you to Jalan Ganesha, which are Dipatiukur – Leuwi Panjang and Dipatiukur – Jatinangor. If you want a bit of freedom, you may want to rent a car as it will be easier to travel around Bandung with your own car.

Kantin Salman ITB is usually crowded in the middle of the day, most of them are students of ITB and TPB. This restaurant is unique because it uses Islamic theme and shari’a. The employees here wear Islamic clothes and the queue is divided into male and female lines. The food is served in buffet style, so you have to pick your own food, pay at the cashier and bring them to your table. The food served in Kantin Salman ITB is varied and most of them are Sundanese and Javanese food, ranging from fried egg, fried spiced chicken, fried tempe, pecel, chicken soup, vegetable soup tofu, ‘kupat tahu’, etc. You can also try one of their pastries and cakes for dessert. As for drinks, this canteen has a great variety of fruit juice, yoghurt, ‘cendol’, grean beans, sweet tea, etc. All of the foods and drinks served here are very cheap, you can get a portion of lunch with drinks with only IDR 10,000. On your table, you will find a note that after you finished your meal, you have to take your dish to the table near the washstand. Kantin Salman ITB is open every day, starting from 06.00 to 19.00. Take note that twenty minutes before and after ‘shalat’ times, the canteen will be closed.
